Smarter than I thought…

My human mom is smarter than I thought.  She’s been taking me on these short walks because her friend Lillian and the great help she’s received at Tripawds have suggested she walk with me on short walks and build to longer walks to help build up my leg.  Well, I feel great.  I don’t need short walks I can go as long as any other dog, until today.  I was hyper and wanted to go on a walk so my human mom said OK, let’s go.  What?  It was another one of those stupid short walks.  She took me and my boxer friend Gracie to the park next door.  We walked for a bit and then she took me to the “bowl” so I could play with Gracie.  My human mom quickly saw I was getting a bit out of control so she intervened.  She wasn’t angry she just calmly stopped our roughness and started back on our walk again.  I was still hyper and wanted her to hurry up.  She took her time as if she knew better than me.  Well, it wasn’t long and I was tired.  What?  Where did that come from?  So, I laid down on the grass with Gracie.  My human mom wasn’t upset, she actually looked like she expected it.  She just stood there and waited until I felt better and then we walked back home.  I guess she knows more than I thought she did and I guess she is right.  I feel great but it will take me some time before my front leg is strong enough to keep up with me.  Thank you human mom!  You are the best!

  2. I hope to live in a place some day where I can have more than 2. I love boxers. Mac is a great addition. I lost my Elvis recently to cancer.

  3. Sometimes I get so mad when my pawrents are right, but yeah, they kinda do know best sometimes eh?

I still get pooped out on long walks or hardcore playdates at the dog park. I get stronger every day but those breaks sure help don’t they?
